Why it's useful
While the hospital will provide you with a gown, you might prefer to walk the halls in the comfort of your own robe.
What to consider
Comfort, comfort, comfort. When it comes to what you wear, that will be your top priority after delivery. Remember that you won't just yet be back to your pre-pregnancy size. Make sure that any clothes you bring are not tight around the waist and are easy to put on and take off.
There's a risk of staining your clothes in the first days after delivery. If worried about ruining your clothes, make sure to choose darker colors or patterns that can disguise a stain.
If you're planning on breastfeeding, make sure your robe allows the baby easy access to your breast (e.g., no buttons).
