Feeding is such an important, fun, and yet often challenging part of caring for your baby. Your baby's nutritional needs will evolve significantly in the first year as they transition to solid foods, and so will the items your baby needs.
Check out Leleki's Baby Checklist to see which items you need right away vs which ones can wait till your baby is ready to transition to solids.
One of the key considerations for feeding items is materials. While plastic is quite common, try to avoid it. Plastic can leach potentially harmful chemicals into food and drinks, especially when heated. While phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA) receive the most attention, there are other chemicals in plastic that can be harmful to you and your baby's health (1).
Leleki ensures that all of the feeding products we carry meet these qualifications:
No plastic in contact with food / drink.
All textile products (eg, burp cloths) are certified free of toxic chemicals (OEKO-TEX or GOTS)
