The idea of TØY came to its Norwegian founder's mind in 2018 when living in one of the most organic cities in the United States: San Francisco, CA.  Inspired by focus on organic products in California, the idea was to merge the best of minimalistic Scandinavian design with high quality organic fabrics to create timeless, gender-neutral, functional and safe baby clothes, which also wouldn't sacrifice our planet.

The word "TØY" comes from Norwegian and simply means "clothing". The letter ø is pronounced like u in "burn" or ea in "earth". If that's too much, try just "TAY" - it's close enough!
